  1. D’Juan,

I’m a Black capitalist living in Little Rock, Arkansas (imagine that)! Please share a comprehensive list of manufacturers and distributors of products for retail owned and produced by Black people.

I currently publish Central Arkansas Press newspaper, a weekly digital and print publication that exclusively expresses the concerns and interests of the Black community. A little more than 30 years ago my business partner and I manufactured gift chocolates and candies for our own retail stores (3), and gift shops, floral shops, and department stores across the nation for 12 years under the brand name J. Persley Gourmet Chocolatiers. In addition, I have produced a line of Sweet Potato Pies under the King of the South brand and owned and operated various other businesses from graphic and web design and photography services to hair salons and promoting live entertainment events.

I mentioned all of that to describe my commitment to the cause of creating Black wealth. As a member of the local NAACP branch, I am connected with a cadre of individuals who are poised and ready to move in a monumental way. We simply need information.

If you are willing to share, please contact me at your earliest convenience.

    Sincerely,

    Scott Green
