Coffee has been for a long time the backbone of Haiti’s agricultural economy. Untouched by chemicals and shade grown above 4000 feet, Caribbrew Coffee is smooth and low in acidity. Their coffee beans are then meticulously picked and roasted in small batches for a fresh cup. It is a strong coffee with a full body, full of flavor, a real treat. Recently, the company’s production declined due to the natural catastrophes that devastated the island. Unwilling to let go of their coffee, Caribbrew works in partnership with associations of small scale coffee farmers in Haiti to grow the best Arabica beans and create long term, sustainable jobs. Brewer’s Cafe is an award winning coffee shop located in the heart of the South Side of Richmond, Virginia. The business is owned and operated by Ajay Brewer and his son, Parker Lee Brewer. Brewer’s Cafe works with a local Virginia company to get beans that are bold, complex, and always ethically and sustainably sourced. The menu features made-to-order sandwiches like the house specialty, the Brewer’s Club – fresh turkey, Virginia ham, thick-cut bacon and Sriracha mayo on toasted potato bread. Sweets from local bakers The Treat Shop, Poor Georgie’s Bake Shoppe & Cupcakery, and beer from Virginia breweries, and over 25 different whiskeys round out the fare. Click here to check them out.

Javae Coffee & Tea grows over 30,000 pounds of coffee annually on a 64 acre family farm, in the mountains of Haiti. Their coffee is exported globally for wholesale and even retail, in select cities. The very best coffees are grown in high altitudes, at low pressure — rich conditions that one would find on a mountain in Haiti. A scientific approach was used to find the very best way to roast Javae Coffee, a process that is exclusively licensed to the company.

Welcome to Sip & Savor, Chicago’s favorite coffee spot. The company brings you the finest certified fair trade coffee from around the world, as well as a wide selection of teas, mochas, lattes and blended drinks. Breakfast is also on the menu, with a plethora of options—in addition to delicious pastries and small bites from local bakeries. That makes them “globally local.” At Sip & Savor, there’s really something for everyone.

BLK & Bold bills itself as the first Black owned, nationally distributed coffee brand. The company pledges 5% of its profits to initiatives aligned to sustaining youth programming, enhancing workforce development, and eradicating youth homelessness.
