Black Hollywood Rocking Black Luxury Designers

When it comes to fashion these days Black Hollywood is becoming more conscious of the names that they rock. In addition to big luxury brands like Gucci, Fendi, or Prada, they are now seeking out more diverse, high end brands, while still turning heads. Celebs like Michelle Obama and the Carters are not only spending a bag, but doing it for the culture. Here are some of Black Hollywood’s most elite rocking some dope Black designers.


Jay-Z in a double breasted baby blue Frere suit. The designer, Davidson Petit-Frere is a real estate tycoon turned fashion mogul. This menswear brand mirrors Davidson’s personal style of tailored suits that make a statement. Some of the other celebs that have rocked his pieces are Omari Hardwick and Micheal B. Jordan.
Frere’s suits start around $2,695.


Beyonce is styled in a black and white striped Romeo Hunte mini dress. A New York native, Romeo Hunte has taken the fashion world by storm since launching his fashion brand in 2014.  Celebs like Laverne Cox, Kiki Palmer, and Zendaya have also been caught in his pieces.
Romeo’s dresses start around $350.
Former Flotus, Michelle Obama is pictured in a white Cushnie Off the shoulders midi dress. Cushnie’s brand focuses on serving the modern woman with clean cut and tailored pieces. Lupita Nyong’o and Beyoncè have also worn some of Cushnie’s incredible pieces.
Cushnie’s dresses start around $495.
Rihanna is shown wearing an Off-White yellow checkered dress with boots to match. Off-White’s founder, Virgil Abloh is no amateur in the fashion world. He started off as Kayne West’s artistic director and was appointed Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of menswear’s in March 2018. Virgil mixes street wear with luxury to bring us some of the hottest pieces of 2019.
Off_White’s dresses start at about $770.
Justine Skye is shown wearing a rust colored silk one shouldered top with lambskin wide leg pants by designer Fe Noel. Felisha “Fe” Noel has been a pilar in the fashion community since the age of 19. This Caribbean phenomenon uses her Grenadian background to inspire her bold designs.

Winnie Harlow is pictured wearing a LaQuan Smith cheetah print mesh catsuit. Other celebs like Rihanna have also been seen in this fierce form fitting catsuit. LaQuan started his fashion career at the tender age of 21 and formally debuted his brand in 2013. He has since worked with some big names like Beyonce and Rihanna.

Odell Beckham Jr. is pictured in a black Public School jacket. Public School was started in 2008 by designers Maxwell Osborne and Dao Yi Chow. The Public School brand is the epitome of New York style. These designers are changing the fashion world with their unapologetic dope mens and women’s wear. Public School jackets start at $425.
