What makes this recipe so delicious in relation to others is that we use far less sugar and even spice it up a little by adding Sangria to the mix! Whattt!?!! Oh yes! The flavor the Sangria renders to the cranberries is such a delicious contrast and no worries it’s not crazy boozy, so there’s no need for a designated driver. We’ve also added fresh pomegranates that just send the flavor meter over the edge! Truly.
Cinnamon is the spice of choice in this recipe. The rich, sweet, woody flavor of cinnamon gives our sauce the proper twist it needs to let you know the holiday’s are here honey! Just to expound on using cinnamon, it’s highly recommendable to always go for the best. Saigon cinnamon would be a top runner; the smell alone let’s you know this is the good stuff.
