Six New Black Influencers You Must Follow

Blockbuster Video was hot when I was a kid but Netflix had an eye on what was coming next. Do you? Who do you look to for content to give you the edge, whether it be in finance, real estate, science or lifestyle? Allow me to introduce you to a few Black business and social media influencers that you should pay attention to going forward.


Dr. Jalaal Hayes (Dr. Jah) is a native of North Philadelphia. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Delaware State University, to advance his personal mission of making science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) simple through teaching and research. At the age of 22 he successfully defended his dissertation in the area of Applied Chemistry, “Thermodynamic and Kinetic Studies of Alkali-Metal Doped Lithium Amice-Magnesium Hydride Hydrogen Storage System.” When his degree was conferred in December of 2015, he was lauded as “the youngest ever Doctoral Candidate” in the university’s 124 year history. Ronell Miller is the Founder of HBCUstartups, LLC and an alumnus of North Carolina A&T State University. Joanaé "Naetorious" King is a “Wifestyle Strategist” and relationship mentor that shares ways to encourage and inspire health in all relationships. Noticing a need for positive depictions of love within the Black community, this wife and mother of four built a platform filled with strategies and encouragement for the Black family. Jasmin A. Robinson, Esq. is an attorney, author, law school coach, “spiritpreneur,” and wife. Moreover, she is an honors graduate of Mercer University School of Law and Hampton University. In addition to practicing law, she founded Jas Talks Law, LLC, a law school admissions consulting brand created to enhance cultural diversity in the legal field by advising and coaching future attorneys.
