 I began making “germ stopper signs” while my daughter (who was born at 24 weeks) was in the NICU. I would attach the signs to her incubator cover because it would drive me crazy when anyone tried to touch her without washing their hands or wearing gloves. I also made car seat tags that I planned on using once we left the NICU. The car seat tags would serve as reminder for people not to touch her when we are out in public because premature babies are extremely sensitive to germs. The nurses and other moms in the NICU loved the signs and suggested that I started selling them....which is how NICUSigns aka Don't Touch Baby was born.
