MY Desires Traditional Arts (MY Desires Arts) is a small business offering the following products and services:

MY Desires Traditional Arts specializes in beaded body embellishments such as body beads, chokers, anklets, bracelets, and waist beads.

MY Desires Arts makes ceremonial pieces such as elekes, asson, shekeres, and walking staffs. They are custom made to order per client.

My name is Yves Marie Desir and I make the jewelry and ceremonial pieces myself.

MY Desires Arts  also pride ourselves in our Afro Caribbean history, culture and traditions. MY Desires Traditional Arts has a line called Tikita Dous. We offer traditional sweets from our childhood in Haiti, such as fresh peanut and cashew brittle. We also make coconut brittle as well.

The beautiful Macrame, hand made sandals from Haiti are made by Roody Duvilaire in Cite Militaire area of Port au Prince,  Haiti.

MY Desires Traditional Arts is partnered with a non profit called Crayons for Haiti Inc. which encourages sustainability development in Haiti through arts, literacy, agriculture and entrepreneurship. We participate by providing a platform for local Haitian artists to expose and sell their art in our store. MY Desires Traditional Arts' objective is to bridge access Haitian arts and culture with brothers and sisters while building communication with each other globally.

MY Desires Traditional Arts encourages partnerships with artists and crafters in Haiti to provide the most authentic Haitian flavor to the world while helping to entrepreneurship in Haiti as well.

MY Desires Traditional Arts also offers dances workshops for women and children. We teach Afro Caribbean healing folklore dances primarily from Haiti. We are available in Philadelphia, Delaware area for 75 minute workshops or children's programming.

MY Desires Traditional Arts travels to Haiti. We have organized volunteer tours of Haiti. The next trip is December 26, to January 2. 2022 to Milot Haiti. More details coming soon.
