Our Herbal Connection:
Long used in Caribbean and African cultures, hibiscus or as my mama calls it shoeblock, has been a part of my family life as long as I can remember. Every family gathering you will always find deliciously spicy sorrel. Sorrel is brewed hibiscus flower tea, with cane sugar & freshly grated ginger. My relationship with hibiscus reminds me of my family, our love for each other, and my seemingly boundless strength I inherited from my long line strong matriarchs that stand with me everyday.
