Pictured above from a private collection.   Framed work using exclusively traditional Dogon elements based on Dogon cosmology.  Adhering closely to Dogon spiritual tradition iron wire is used  to complete the work.

Rituals of Adornment creates unparalleled jewelry focusing on indigenous Afrikan elements and those from the Afrikan bead trade.  Inspiration is drawn from thousands of years of cultural traditions and Afrikan genius.  Careful attention is paid to the cultural integrity of the components, their symbolism and how they are used within their cultural environments.

My work falls primarily into two categories, worn art and wall art.  Components are both indigenous and trade items from the early bead trade.
