The African feathered headdress Tyn Hat (Juju hat) originates from the Bamileke people to them it symbolizes the prosperity and wealth of all positive qualities linked to birds. This traditional ceremonial hat style is still worn by chiefs, dignitaries, officials and ceremonial dancers in many villages.In Cameroon they were originally just used during ceremonies, but as such a beautiful work of art they are often hung on the wall as art and enjoyed. This Tyn (JuJu) is made of feathers tightly sewn onto a raffia base and the finished product folds neatly into a cylindrical shape. The opened hat can be displayed on the wall as a decoration to adorn any display area, as they have become a very popular design accessory for the home worldwide!
